Certified Hospital Inpatient Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Hospital Inpatient Coder (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to extract data and apply appropriate ICD-10 and PCS Diagnosis codes
• Ensure all services documented in the patient's chart are coded accurately and seek proper documentation when necessary
• Achieve and maintain 95% accuracy in coding while adhering to productivity standards

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma (relevant experience may substitute for formal education)
• 5+ years of Medical Coding experience
• CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA Certification from AHIMA or CIC required
• Experience with systems such as EPIC and 3M
• Advanced knowledge of Coding clinics ICD-10-CM and PCS
