Certified Hospitalist Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Hospitalist Profee Coding Specialist who will provide coding services for various specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for a minimum of 1-4 specialties
• Calculate ProFee and/or Facility E/M levels and recognize critical care cases
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and maintain accuracy in code assignment

Required Qualifications

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• Minimum of 6 months of on-the-job coding experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is necessary
• Familiarity with EMR and billing systems is essential
• Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
