Certified Inpatient Auditor

Job Summary

Responsible for completing quality assurance reviews on inpatient coders, the full-time or part-time Certified Inpatient Auditor will conduct onboarding audits, provide training, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Complete scheduled quality assurance reviews for internal and external coders
• Conduct onboarding audits and training sessions for newly hired inpatient coders
• Communicate quality issues and audit findings to management and clients

Required qualifications:

• Approved AHIMA or inpatient coding credential
• Minimum of 3 years of inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting
• Recommended minimum of 3 years of experience in Trauma Level 1 and Academic Teaching facilities
• Minimum of 2 years of auditing experience preferred
• Proficiency in ICD-10-PCS coding
