Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Coder (Inpatient).

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzes medical records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures
• Utilizes coding resources to identify appropriate codes and adheres to regulatory guidelines
• Generates physician queries for documentation clarification and educates clinicians on proper coding practices

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 3 - 5 years of technical experience required
• Certification such as CCS, CPC, CCSP, CIC, COC, RHIA, or RHIT is required
• Inpatient facility coding experience is preferred
