Certified Inpatient Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Facility Coding Inpatient Senior Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records and accurately code diagnostic and procedural information
• Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedure codes while ensuring completeness of records
• Provide coding quality assurance and act as a knowledge resource for internal and external customers

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent training in medical record keeping principles
• Active certification as a CCS, COC, CPC, RHIT, RHIA, or other relevant coding certification
• Five or more years of inpatient coding experience in an Acute Care facility
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding principles
• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting using office and coding software
