Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Senior Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret medical records for accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures
• Utilize coding resources and guidelines to ensure compliance and accuracy in coding assignments
• Assist in educating healthcare providers on proper documentation practices to enhance coding accuracy

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 3 - 5 years of technical experience in coding required
• Certification in coding (CCS, CPC, CCSP, CIC, COC, RHIA, or RHIT) is required
• Inpatient facility coding experience is preferred
