Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time remote Certified Inpatient Coder will assess medical documentation to accurately code diagnoses, procedures, and charges, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and payer-specific rules.

Key responsibilities

• Comprehend medical record documentation to assign codes for concurrent and discharged accounts across multiple specialties
• Analyze high-risk encounters for accurate charge capture and ensure compliance with coding guidelines
• Facilitate modifications to clinical documentation through query interaction to support the level of service rendered

Required qualifications

• Minimum education of an Associate's degree
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology
• Certification required: CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or COC
