Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Auditor, remote based in the US.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular audits of medical records and coding to ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations
• Identify coding errors and collaborate with the coding team to provide education and implement corrective actions
• Maintain audit records and generate reports on coding accuracy and compliance for management review

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or other coding certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of coding experience in a healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of coding guidelines (e.g., ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
