Certified Inpatient Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Acute Hospital Inpatient Coding Auditor to provide expert coding audit services for inpatient services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform coding quality audits and analyze medical record documentation
• Document audit findings, provide feedback, and prepare written audit reports
• Serve as an expert coding resource and conduct ad hoc coding audits as requested

Required Qualifications

• Coding Certification from AHIMA or AAPC (e.g., RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CIC)
• 3+ years of acute inpatient hospital coding experience or 2+ years of inpatient coding audit experience
• 1+ years of knowledge of acute hospital official coding guidelines and ICD-10-CM/PCS classification
• 1+ years of experience with electronic health records (EHR) and coding applications
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
