Certified Inpatient Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Inpatient Coding Specialist - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical documentation to assign appropriate diagnoses and procedure codes
• Adhere to the Standards of Ethical Coding and official coding guidelines
• Ensure compliance with coding practices in inpatient, outpatient, and professional services settings

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma
• 3 years of coding experience in ICD-10-CM and HCPCS/CPT coding
• Certifications such as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, or CIRCC required or to be completed within 6 months of employment
• Preferred education includes an A.S. or B.S. from an accredited Health Information program
