Certified Inpatient Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Specialist Level 1 Trauma.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient facility coding for a large hospital system
• Conduct accurate analysis of medical records to assign ICD-10 CM & PCS coding
• Maintain quality and productivity standards while communicating professionally with clients

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years of coding experience is required
• Advanced knowledge of EMR and billing systems is necessary
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is essential
• Must maintain ongoing productivity and quality scores of 95% or higher
