Certified Inpatient Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Specialist to provide coding services for various specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide coding services by analyzing medical records and assigning appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Recognize critical care cases and code surgical procedures to capture additional revenue
• Maintain quality and productivity standards while communicating professionally with clients

Required Qualifications

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years of coding experience required
• Advanced knowledge of EMR and billing systems is necessary
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required
• Must maintain ongoing productivity and quality scores of 95% or higher
