Certified Inpatient Coding Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the part-time Certified Inpatient Coding Specialist will review inpatient hospital medical records, ensure high-quality coding standards, and collaborate with coders and managers in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review inpatient hospital medical records and accurately code the charts
• Meet or exceed quality and productivity standards to deliver exceptional coding services
• Communicate and collaborate with inpatient coders and managers to address client needs

Required qualifications

• Current CCS, RHIA, RHIT through AHIMA, or CPC through AAPC coding credentials
• 3 or more years of inpatient facility coding experience
• 3 years of ICD-10 PCS coding experience
• Access to high-speed internet and a suitable workstation
• Epic experience is a plus
