Certified Inpatient Medical Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for Inpatient PTF Coders for remote full-time and part-time positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Code PTF charts in ICD-10 with a minimum accuracy of 95%
• Correct personal coding errors and adhere to turnaround times for coding completion
• Review and abstract health record information while ensuring compliance with coding standards

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience coding for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
• Active credentials as a certified coder with maintenance of those credentials
• Formal training in anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding methodologies
• Familiarity with coding guidelines and systems including ICD, CPT, and HCPCS
• High School Diploma or equivalent education required
