Job Summary

To enhance patient care, the full-time Certified Insurance Verification Specialist will verify patient information, confirm insurance coverage, and assist with financial arrangements in a virtual environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits, updating patient accounts for accuracy and confidentiality
  • Collect estimated self-pay balances and coordinate financial counseling with various departments
  • Respond to inquiries from patients, clerical staff, and insurance companies while maintaining established productivity benchmarks
Required qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred
  • Certification as CHAA, CPAR, or CRCR required within 120 days of hire
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare or institutional work setting
  • Computer/data entry experience required
  • Familiarity with patient registration systems and Microsoft Office Suite preferred; Epic experience is a plus
