Job Summary
Supporting ethical human subjects research, the full-time salaried Certified IRB Compliance Specialist will manage IRB submissions, maintain accurate records, and provide guidance to faculty and staff, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluates and manages incoming IRB applications, ensuring compliance with federal and institutional regulations
- Instructs and counsels investigators on IRB procedures and requirements, including facilitating educational presentations
- Maintains complete and accurate records, including IRB minutes, to support the integrity of the review process
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Active Certified IRB Professional (CIP) or ability to obtain certification within two years of employment
- Experience in a research environment with familiarity with IRB processes
- Exceptional analytical skills to apply federal regulations to research proposals
- Proficient in multimedia applications, including Windows, RAMP, and word processing software
