Job Summary
To ensure coding accuracy and compliance, the full-time Certified IRC Coder will maintain standards for charge capture and monitor unposted charge logs while working remotely during daytime hours from Monday to Friday.
Key responsibilities
- Maintains established standards for coding and charge capture accuracy
- Monitors unposted charge logs for timely charge posting and ensures accurate assignment of CPT codes
- Acts as a liaison between clinical areas and coding operations to achieve revenue integrity
Required qualifications
- Completion of an AHIMA or AAPC-approved coding or health information technology program
- 4 years of recent coding or auditing experience in an acute care hospital
- Certification: Obtain CIRCC within the first six months of employment
