Certified Lab Coder

Job Summary

Supporting the Genetics/Lab Content Team, the full-time Certified Lab Coder will conduct research, quality assurance, and opportunity analysis for medical policies while collaborating on coding policy development and enhancements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze complex data and synthesize findings for internal and customer use
• Provide coding and claims processing expertise to develop clinical coding policies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clarity on content solutions and support new policy rollouts

Required qualifications

• BS in Nursing, Pharmacy (BSPharm or PharmD), or equivalent work experience
• Nationally recognized coding credential through AHIMA or AAPC (CCS, CPC, etc.) is required
• 5+ years of coding/billing experience in a large lab, particularly in genetics
• 3+ years of research experience related to coding or relevant internal role experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
