Job Summary

A company is looking for an Absence Management Specialist to analyze claims for leave and disability benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze claims to determine medical support for leave and disability benefits
  • Provide counseling on leave policies and coordinate the leave process
  • Communicate with employees, managers, and HR regarding claims and return-to-work processes
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required (equivalent experience will be considered)
  • 2 years of leave management or disability claims management experience preferred
  • Technical knowledge of short-term disability claims management and leave procedures
  • Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS) designation required within 12 months of hire
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to leave of absence
