Job Summary
A company is looking for an Absence Management Specialist to analyze claims for leave and disability benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze claims to determine medical support for leave and disability benefits
- Provide counseling on leave policies and coordinate the leave process
- Communicate with employees, managers, and HR regarding claims and return-to-work processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (equivalent experience will be considered)
- 2 years of leave management or disability claims management experience preferred
- Technical knowledge of short-term disability claims management and leave procedures
- Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS) designation required within 12 months of hire
- Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to leave of absence
