Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary

To support patient care in a remote environment, the full-time Certified Medical Assistant will manage prescription refill requests, verify their accuracy, and provide exceptional customer service while adhering to organizational protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and respond to prescription refill requests through various communication channels
• Verify the validity and accuracy of prescription refill requests, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines
• Compile and analyze data to track key performance indicators related to prescription refill processing

Required qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Certification as a Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or as a Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologists
• At least 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or medical office environment
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medications
• Strong computer experience, including working in Electronic Medical Records or Electronic Health Records
