Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary

Supporting military communities, the full-time Certified Medical Assistant will navigate an electronic medical record system to evaluate patient health information, conduct documentation reviews, and collaborate with Service Members and Veterans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and process patient health information to determine outcomes for medical and specialty exams
• Conduct phone interviews with Service Members and Veterans to corroborate examination documentation and provide comprehensive reports
• Identify and address emergent behavioral health issues, ensuring compliance with contract requirements

Required qualifications

• Vocational or Technical Training in a medical-related field, with certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
• Experience working in an Electronic Medical Record system
• Knowledge of healthcare documentation, including medical and psychological terminology
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a Public Trust Background Check & Drug Screening
