Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary

To provide centralized in-basket support for designated clinic care teams, the full-time Certified Medical Assistant will assist with patient outreach, clinic support services, and navigation of the healthcare system, primarily in a remote setting with potential redeployment to clinics as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborates with clinic leadership and optimization teams to develop and maintain workflow processes for clinical support activities
• Monitors and evaluates productivity targets while ensuring effective communication and documentation with assigned practices
• Provides Epic in-basket administrative support, including medication refills and patient outreach, while participating in care team meetings for performance improvement

Required qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification from an accredited organization (AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NRCMA, or NCMA)
• Completion of a Medical Assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES is preferred
• At least two years of experience as a medical assistant, preferably in an ambulatory care setting
• Current Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association is preferred at the time of hire
• Epic experience is preferred
