Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary

To support primary healthcare delivery, the full-time Certified Medical Assistant will assist with patient care management, clerical duties, and call center support in a remote environment while ensuring effective communication with patients and providers.

Key responsibilities:

• Answer incoming calls and route messages for all providers, ensuring accurate patient information
• Support multiple providers by monitoring patient messages, triaging calls, and notifying patients of lab results
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications and assist in maintaining patient care schedules

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of Certified Medical Assistant program preferred
• Experience as a Patient Care Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant may be considered
• CPR Certification is required
• Knowledge of medical practices, examination procedures, and safety hazards
• Candidate must reside within 1 hour of Silver Cross Hospital main campus for onsite requirements
