Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary

To assist in delivering primary healthcare and patient care management, the full-time Certified Medical Assistant will provide call center support, manage patient communications, and perform clerical duties in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls for all providers, routing messages accurately and updating patient demographics
• Monitor patient messages, triage calls, and notify patients of lab results and medication refills as directed
• Support multiple providers to ensure timely patient care and obtain prior authorizations for medications

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; graduation or completion of Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Experience as a Patient Care Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant is considered
• Knowledge of medical practices, examination procedures, and medical equipment
• CPR Certification is required
• Candidate must reside within 1 hour of Silver Cross Hospital main campus for potential onsite requirements
