Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary

To assist in the delivery of primary healthcare and patient care management, the full-time Certified Medical Assistant will provide call center support, manage patient communications, and perform clerical duties in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Answer incoming calls for all providers and route messages accurately
• Monitor patient messages, triage calls, and notify patients of lab results and medication refills
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications and support multiple providers simultaneously

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of Certified Medical Assistant program preferred
• Experience as a Patient Care Technician or Certified Nursing Assistant is considered
• CPR Certification is required
• Knowledge of medical practice, examination procedures, and medical equipment
• Must reside within one hour of Silver Cross Hospital main campus
