Job Summary

To support the outpatient cardiology team, the part-time Certified Medical Assistant - Florida will perform patient care under the direction of physicians or Advanced Practice Providers in an ambulatory setting, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assists physicians or APPs during examinations and procedures, providing routine treatments and administering approved medications
• Gathers patient data through interviews and observations, documenting treatments and patient education according to policies
• Acts as a liaison for patients, scheduling specialty testing and consultations while maintaining compliance with health policies and standards

Required qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school or one year of relevant experience
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
• Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant from an accredited agency
• No prior experience required
