Job Summary
To support patient care in a remote environment, the full-time Certified Medical Assistant, Texas will manage prescription refill requests, ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, and provide exceptional customer service while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and respond to prescription refill requests through various communication channels
- Verify the validity and accuracy of prescription refill requests and prepare refills following established protocols
- Compile and analyze data related to prescription refill processing and present findings to leadership
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail pharmacy
- Extensive knowledge of Medicare Part D, including pharmacy record review and billing rules
- Working knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and CMS security requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, with the ability to read, write, and speak both languages
- Current, unrestricted Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license and a nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification
