Certified Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle management process, the remote Certified Medical Billing Specialist will ensure accurate coding and billing by reviewing patient medical records, processing claims, and adhering to regulatory requirements while maintaining productivity standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Review patient medical records and supporting documentation for accuracy in coding and billing
• Process insurance claim forms in compliance with federal and state laws, ensuring timely validation of claims
• Maintain knowledge of billing rules and regulations for various payor types and achieve billing accuracy scores during quality assurance activities

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 - 2 years of medical billing experience preferred
• Certified Ambulance Coder (CAC) certification preferred
• Ability to attain QMC Biller Certification upon employment
• Basic computer skills and ability to type at least 35 wpm
