Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder (SC Upstate Residents).

Key Responsibilities

• Assigns and sequences diagnoses and procedures according to coding guidelines
• Analyzes and resolves charge entry coding errors and manages billing and collections
• Reports and analyzes errors, trends, and findings while composing reports using Microsoft Excel and Word

Required Qualifications

• Certified AAPC Coder
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant education and/or experience
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 Office suite, with moderate skills in Excel
• Ability to work with highly confidential materials
• Strong working knowledge of HIPAA as it relates to revenue cycle management
