Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Review video, audio, and chat-based patient encounters to ensure accurate clinical documentation
• Apply appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes for encounters, adhering to coding guidelines and regulations
• Analyze coding patterns to identify process improvements and ensure compliance with coding and billing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or equivalent coding certification
• 5+ years of medical coding experience, particularly in outpatient coding for obstetrics/gynecology and pediatrics
• 5+ years of experience coding in an EHR, with recent experience in Athena preferred
• In-depth knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding guidelines and Medicaid coding rules
• Experience coding for telehealth companies and asynchronous encounters preferred
