Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder, responsible for coding medical records accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures by reviewing medical documentation
• Ensure correct code selection and compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
• Review coding for accuracy and completeness prior to submission to billing

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Coding experience required
• Experience with Professional Fee Coding
• Experience with EHR systems
• Accepted certifications from AHIMA or AAPC such as RHIT, RHIA, CCA, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC
