Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder (Profee E&M).

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate clinical and demographic information from medical records for accurate code selection
• Select CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 codes with correct sequencing to ensure accuracy and maximum reimbursement
• Investigate and resolve coding-related system edits, rejections, and insurance denials

Required Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) license required; RHIT or RHIA accepted
• Minimum two (2) years of professional or facility coding experience
• Must remain current on coding guidelines and complete mandatory continuing education
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
