Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Risk Adjustment Specialist (Coder).

Key Responsibilities

• Utilizes ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for reporting diagnoses and procedures
• Conducts ongoing audits of medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines
• Educates providers on HCC Coding and clinical documentation requirements related to risk adjustment

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required; Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) preferred
• At least 3 years of experience with risk adjustment or HCC coding
• Minimum High School degree or equivalent; College or Associate degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience with HEDIS/Stars
• Advanced knowledge of medical codes and terminology
