Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Medical Coder Analyst.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze protected health information according to CMS project-specific rules
• Assign ICD-9/10-CM codes based on AMA guidelines
• Discuss project-related discrepancies with Team Lead(s) and maintain coding credentials

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in abstracting and ICD-9/ICD-10 coding
• Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology of disease, and medical terminology
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must possess relevant coding certifications (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC)
• Passing score on a coder assessment is required for further consideration
