Job Summary

A company is looking for a Multispecialty Outpatient Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality surgical coding and maintain accuracy in coding services documented in patient charts
• Work daily on the review queue to ensure timely processing of charts and corrections as needed
• Provide accurate responses to coding and billing inquiries from physicians and hospitals within specified timeframes

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• One recognized professional coding certification (CPC, RHIT, RHIA, or CCS)
• Successful completion of a training course beyond apprentice level for medical technicians or related fields
• Must maintain professional credentials throughout employment
• Experience with multiple EMR and/or Practice Management systems is preferred
