Certified Medical Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder for a remote contract position.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain coding accuracy and productivity levels
• Assign ICD-10 codes for physician and facility services in Observation and Inpatient settings
• Review and maintain records of coded charts and stay current with coding updates

Required Qualifications

• Active Coding Credential (CPC or CCS) required
• Previous Risk Adjustment Coding experience required
• Extensive experience within the coding function
• Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment
