Key Responsibilities

• Review medical record documentation for accuracy and appropriateness of diagnoses and procedures
• Validate DRG/APC assignment based on documented diagnoses and procedures
• Abstract and compile data from medical records to support accurate reimbursement and compliance

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Certification as a Coding Specialist
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Coder
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding systems
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
