Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder to review and analyze medical billing and coding for processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and review operative reports, implant invoices, and pathology reports for accurate coding
• Adhere to coding guidelines and ensure coding accuracy for optimal reimbursement
• Consult with physicians for clarification on documentation and track cases lacking necessary information

Required Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED certification
• Required certification in CPC, RHIA, or RHIT
• Successful completion of formal education in ICD-9-CM/ICD-10/CPT coding, medical terminology, and anatomy/physiology
• Minimum of 2 years outpatient surgery coding experience recommended
• Knowledge of computers and Windows-driven software
