Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Records Coder III, Complex.

Key Responsibilities

• Functions as an advanced coder in the analysis of medical documentation and assigns appropriate medical codes
• Reviews and resolves coding denials and provides feedback for corrections
• Responds to coding information requests and communicates improvement opportunities to relevant parties

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience as a medical coder required
• Associate's degree preferred
• Knowledge of ICD-10CM, CPT, and HCPCS required
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy required
• Preferred certifications include RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CMC
