Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder 2 to join their remote team and perform accurate coding for outpatient documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10, CPT-4, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses, treatments, and procedures
• Resolve medical necessity edits and documentation discrepancies while collaborating with providers
• Ensure timely billing and reimbursement by following up on unabstracted accounts

Required Qualifications

• Certificate program in Coding, A.A./A.S. in HIM, or a certificate with 1-3 years of healthcare experience
• 1 year of coding experience
• Certification as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, CCS-P, CPC-H, COC, or AAPC specialty certifications
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based software, including Epic and Microsoft Teams
• Preferred: B.S./B.A. in HIM and 2 years of coding experience
