Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform concurrent review of coding rules and ensure accurate coding and billing for maximum reimbursement
• Identify unclear areas in clinical documentation and generate queries for additional information
• Utilize coding software and guidelines to make independent medical code determinations and resolve coding edits or denials

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
• Coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, RHIT, CCS)
• 3+ years of coding experience
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and medical terminology
• Ability to meet designated deadlines and productivity standards
