Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Records Coder II to ensure quality healthcare data and accurate professional payment.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews system edits and assigns appropriate codes from coding classification systems
• Handles work queue responsibilities within established guidelines and resolves issues related to claims
• Prepares reports for designated leaders to document problems and collaborates to resolve payment delays

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with less than 1 year of relevant experience
• Knowledge of ICD-10CM, CPT, and HCPSC preferred
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy preferred
• AHIMA accreditation for RHIA or RHIT, or CCS preferred
• CPC or CMC certification preferred
