Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder, Provider Practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support and resources for providers regarding covered indications and documentation
• Review medical documentation and assign appropriate diagnostic and procedure codes
• Participate in coding team meetings and serve as a subject matter expert

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate degree in Health Information Technology or Certification in Coding required
• Knowledge of diagnostic and procedural terminology, ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding schemes preferred
• Certification as Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or other relevant coding certifications required
• Must obtain certification within one year of hire if not certified at hire
