Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time Certified Outpatient Medical Coder will assign codes to medical diagnoses and procedures remotely, ensuring accurate coding and compliance while communicating with department managers and enhancing coding knowledge through ongoing education.

Key responsibilities

• Review medical records to determine appropriate diagnostic and procedural code assignments
• Assign charges for applicable clinics and departments as necessary
• Communicate with managers regarding coding, compliance, and documentation issues

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Coding-related certification from AHIMA or AAPC
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
