Certified Medical Coder

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Certified Medical Coder with Profee Outpatient experience, the full-time position will assign accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes from medical records, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.

Key responsibilities:

• Review medical documentation to assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures accurately
• Ensure correct code selection and sequencing for reimbursement under the Prospective Payment system
• Abstract medical and demographic information, correcting any errors found in the coding process

Required qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Coding experience
• Experience with Professional Fee Coding and EHR systems
• Accepted certifications from AHIMA or AAPC, such as RHIT, RHIA, CCA, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC
