Certified Medical Coder

Job Summary

To support interventional pain evaluation and management, the full-time Certified Medical Coder will ensure accurate and compliant coding of professional and facility services, focusing on Workers' Compensation and Functional Rehabilitation Programs, while working remotely from specified states.

Key responsibilities:

• Assign accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for all services performed
• Collaborate with billing teams to ensure compliance with payer-specific guidelines and documentation requirements
• Participate in coding audits and provide feedback to improve documentation and coding accuracy

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
• Active coding certification required: CPC, CCS, or equivalent
• Minimum 3-5 years of medical coding experience in pain management and workers' compensation billing
• Experience with multiple EHR/Practice Management systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid skills in other Microsoft Office applications
