Certified Medical Coder

Job Summary

Focused on coding validation and edit resolution, the full-time Certified Medical Coder will review clinician-entered charge suggestions, resolve coding edits, and manage coding queues for obstetric and GYN services in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assigns and sequences diagnoses and procedures in accordance with ICD-10 CM Official Coding Guidelines
• Analyzes and resolves charge entry coding errors, ensuring accurate charge capture
• Reports and analyzes errors, trends, and findings while composing reports using Microsoft Excel and Word

Required Qualifications:

• Certified AAPC Coder
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 Office suite, with moderate skills in Excel
• Ability to work with highly confidential materials and possess high ethical standards
• Effective interpersonal skills for interactions with hospital personnel
