Job Summary

To support a dynamic dermatology and multi-specialty practice, the full-time Certified Medical Coder will perform coding for various medical services, ensuring accuracy and compliance while working remotely from an approved state.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate medical coding for dermatology and multiple specialties, adhering to industry standards
• Review and resolve coding discrepancies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and optimize coding practices

Required qualifications

• 1 year of progressive coding experience required
• Active coding certification (CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CRC, RHIT, or RHIA) upon hire required
• Medical Coding education or equivalent experience required
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred; Associate's Degree in a healthcare-related field preferred
• 2 years of progressive coding experience in multiple specialties preferred
