Job Summary
To support a strategic benefit digitization initiative, the remote Certified Medical Coder (CPC) will apply standardized coding practices, maintain code updates, and collaborate on cross-functional projects within a contract role.
Key responsibilities
- Apply formal and consistent coding standards to interpret and digitize benefit structures
- Develop and maintain groupings of procedures and service codes for accurate benefit alignment
- Ensure coding aligns with regulatory mandates and provide expert guidance to project teams
Required qualifications
- Active Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification from AAPC or AHIMA
- 3+ years of experience with coding and reimbursement methodologies (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, CMS)
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
