Certified Medical Coder Educator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder+ Educator to deliver documentation education and training for healthcare providers and their staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct documentation reviews for providers and clinical staff to identify improvement opportunities
• Create educational materials and conduct training sessions, both virtually and in-person
• Perform quality reviews of medical records and assist with coding operations as needed

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of provider medical coding experience across various specialties in the ProFee space
• Surgical coding experience preferred
• AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and/or Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) certification highly preferred
• Experience in a physician practice setting strongly preferred
• Extensive knowledge of coding conventions and rules established by AMA and CMS
